Joomla Bootcamp in London
Friday, 07 November 2008 13:22
joomla bootcamp, london dec 11, 2008

If James Bond used a CMS, he'd use Joomla,  And in keeping with all things Bond, Joomlatools and LeadSure today announce London's first Joomla Bootcamp to be held at one of IBM's premium venues — the Crosby Auditorium, early December.

This IBM location is well-known for being used in the film set for the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies", as the headquarters for the media mogul Eliott Carver.  As Carver met a sticky end, he won't be attending but we do have some special Bond-like characters attending the Bootcamp.

Closing down the forum
Thursday, 14 August 2008 14:16
Because I don't have time to offer support in the forum (too busy working on Nooku), I've decided to close it down. Instead, everybody is more than welcome to join the Joomlatools forum. There is a category for third party DOCman addons, so that's the perfect place to discuss MjazTools. And as it is with community support forums, if everyone helps out a little, by answering other user's questions, perhaps writing a couple of submissions for the FAQ, then we can focus on developing Nooku and DOCman.

Multilingual Joomla! sites with Nooku
Monday, 05 May 2008 20:21

Nooku is a brand new open source extension that enables multi-lingual capability in Joomla! 1.5. Created by the Joomlatools team, Nooku sets the highest standard yet seen in a Joomla 1.5 extension. In fact, Nooku is much more than an extension ... it is a framework in itself. Nooku manages as many languages as you need. No hassle, no overhead. Translate content, urls, menus or extensions, all from your familiar Joomla! environment. Nooku fits so smoothly into Joomla! you'll hardly notice it's there.

As Mathias Verraes from MjazTools is one of the senior architects of Nooku, we can help you to integrate Nooku in your Joomla! site. Learn more about Nooku: http://www.nooku.org

DOCman Security Announcement
Tuesday, 19 February 2008 23:30
Joomlatools would like to announce the immediate availability of DOCman v1.4.0RC2.

Recently, a CSRF vulnerability was discovered in DOCman. An attacker can have the same access permissions as the administrator. In the right circumstances, this can be exploited to change data or obtain shell access. All 1.3.x versions, as well as 1.4.0BETA2 and 1.4.0RC1 are vulnerable. Therefore it is recommended to all users to upgrade to the new v1.4.0RC2.

Please visit http://blog.joomlatools.org/2008/02/docman-security-announcement.html to read the full announcement, as well as upgrade instructions.

MjazTools AutoThumb v1.4
Sunday, 23 December 2007 16:21
This week, the brand new version 1.4 of MjazTools AutoThumb for DOCman was released.
If you've used the old version before, than prepare for a surprise: the component is now a plugin (aka mambot)! It's now even easier to use. Install it, configure it and never look back. The plugin will automatically create thumbnails for all files in DOCman (where possible). Even when you add new documents, these will automatically get a thumbnail.

The new release is compatible with DOCman v1.4.0 RC1 and higher, as well as Joomla! v1.0.x and v1.5.

MjazTools BlogTheme v1.4.0 released
Tuesday, 06 November 2007 13:08

MjazTools is proud to announce the release of the new v1.4.0 of the popular BlogTheme. This version has full support for DOCman v1.4.0RC1, and works with both Joomla! v1.0.x and v1.5RC3+.

If you're using DOCman, you should try this add-on theme. It uses as many of your Joomla template's styles as possible, to obtain great visual integration. This way, DOCman look will match the rest of your site -- almost as if DOCman was created especially for you :-)

When using DOCman 1.4.0RC1, the theme is easy to install. In DOCman's control panel, click Themes, then click the Add button. Don't forget to set the theme to Default. You can also customize some settings.
